I have been getting in some more practice drawing females thought I would add some colour to my favorite sketch of the last couple of days. Her friends have abandoned her at a party so she is getting drunk in the corner with a comfortable wine.

Peaceful Fisherman

This is Mr Hopoe, I'm not yet exactly sure who, where or what he is other thanbeing a fisherman. I thought a character with human anatomy would be a good exercise and I am hoping to see Mr Hopoe from this 2D incarnation through to 3D animation.

Wedding Illustration

I am getting married this summer, and for the invitations, my fiance thought it would be nice to have a cartoony illustration of ourselves to put on the invitations in some form or other.

Our costumes are a nod to our respective nationalities with Serena wearing a Hanbok and has her hair up in a vaguely traditional style and whith myself wearing a bowler hat and bowtie.

Spink & Ray

Well, Spinks a cat and he started existing a couple of weeks ago when I was sketching a card for my girlfriend.

I then drew him onto card, coloured, and cut him out. I'm not sure why I enjoy cutting characers out from card so much, I guess its something about being able to give the character physical shape which brings it to life a little bit more. This lil' feller is presently sitting on my computer.

As I fairly recently purchsed a wacom bamboo, I thought I'd make good use of it and give Spink and his new friend Ray some colour. I deffinitely have a lot to learn about digital painting, but I like how it turned out. The font used is antelope h.
